The Peter and Margaret Nwomeh Foundation was honored to receive the Community Recognition Award during the Ozalla Forum's 10th Anniversary Celebration, held on April 5, 2026 — a milestone event celebrating a decade of community leadership, development, and partnership in Ozalla.
The photographs from graduation day tell a remarkably familiar story — certificates, smiles, the relief of a milestone reached. But the most important part of the story begins only after the cameras are put away. This spring, five young people from Ozalla completed vocational training in tailoring and fashion design through the Fashion Future Program in Aba.
Eight young people from Ozalla have started training in emerging technology, sponsored by the Peter and Margaret Nwomeh Foundation — a step beyond university scholarships, into the digital skills increasingly shaping how young people learn, work and earn.
On Friday morning, the WAEC Hall at Ozalla High School filled with students, school leavers, teachers, parents, and community leaders. Some arrived with clear plans for the future. Others came looking for direction. The gathering marked the Peter Nwomeh Foundation's first Career Guidance and Counseling Workshop.
