Festus Adedayo remembers Margaret Nwomeh and Senator Ayogu Eze
Writing in his Tribune column, Festus Adedayo wove together two losses he mourned in the same week — that of Mrs. Margaret Nwomeh of Ozalla and that of Senator Ayogu Eze of Enugu North. Recalling visits to the Nwomeh family home, where the late matriarch's first concern was always whether her guests had eaten, he sketched a portrait of warmth and unstinting hospitality. He noted, too, the family she raised, and quoted from Prof. Ben Nwomeh's own tribute to her seventy-seven years of love and sacrifice. The column closes by commending both departed souls to rest, a reminder of how widely Mrs. Nwomeh's life was felt beyond her own household.
